The last three games of the Finals offered nothing short of what the NBA is known for. Here are the recaps…
This seasons MVP was no match for the former 2 time MVP James. Derrick Rose had yet another bad game, contrary to the picture above, going only 8-27 from the field, going against the Heat defense, who rallied in OT to take a 3-1 lead over the Bulls, winning 101-93. The stats, Lebron the big game scorer, 35 pts, solid 13 all from the line, 6 rebs and asts, 2 blks and steals. Bosh also added 22 pts w/ 6 rebs. D. Wade added 14 pts, 5 rebs and 4 blks. Deng, Boozer and Rose added a combined 63 pts. Boozer and Noah added 24 rebs to the Bulls effort. OT was the deciding factor in this game, w/ Lebron scoring 13 in the final quarter and closing the game. The defense could not match up w/ the pressure.
Dallas Mavericks put on a show. Dirk Nowitzki would not be denied the chance to close out this final game. The Mavs take this game, 100-96 to send OKC packing and on a ride home. The Mavs move onto the finals. For OKC, it was a battle until the end, w/ Durant and Westbrook w/ 54 of OKC’s pts. Collison and Harden also came off the bench w/ 12 and 23, respectively but yet and still, the Mavs would not go away. Dirk, who finished the Thunder from behind the ark, came away w/ 26 pts, 9 rebs and 2 stls. Marion put on a show, also finishing w/ 26 pts, but he added 8 rebs, 3 asts and blks to this win. Terry and Barea had big games off the bench, w/ 26 combined pts, 5 rebs and 5 asts. The Mavs head to the Finals.
First 3 quarters of play, Chicago had it. Lock down D put Miami on their backs. 4th quarter, the Heat erased their 77-65 deficit to win in the end and advance to the NBA Finals w/ a 83-80 win over Chicago. The stories of the game, Rose missing a crucial free throw in the final seconds and making 3 HORRIBLE mistakes that led to 9 Heat pts and Miami’s big 3 scoring all but 14 of their teams pts. Lebron finished w/ 28 pts, 11 rebs, 6 asts, 2 blks and 3 stls. Bosh finished w/ 20, adding 10 rebs and 4 blks. D. Wade finished w/ 21 pts, 6 rebs and 2 asts. Rose was the deciding factor in this game and he knows it, going on record to say “Everything is on me — turnovers, missed shots, fouls… if anything, I’ll learn from it. That’s all I can do right now. The series is over.” Nice job Miami. They head to the Finals.
