“We decided to make a new electronic sound that feels warm and breezy; kind of like a dub record, but with a little trap influence to make it slightly urban.” Being based in South Florida, they set out to capture the feel of the place. “A lot of people only have glossy South Beach images of the Miami area, but there’s so much more. We like to go inland and just be in nature, it’s very inspiring. That’s exactly what we did to shoot the music video for the song, we wanted to show a different side of SoFlo. We even decided to produce and direct the video ourselves as we felt otherwise that inspiration might get lost.” The feel of the song may be reminiscent of a perfect summer day, but for Aubergine Machine it’s a representation of the autumn and winter when the tropical rainy season is finally over.
