Appreciation Day x A.B. [LISTEN]

This is one of the moments we’ve been waiting for. One of our first TYS features was with emcee Abyss Da Dark (view the interview here). Soon after the interview, the man himself went dark, gone from the scene for 2 years. We hit him up a couple of times to see if there was anything new and there were a couple of covers, but no solid leads on any mixtapes or EPs. Until about a month ago…

Recently re-branded artist A.B. resurfaces with a new team (a collective named Respect The Cool), a new website and a new EP. Opening for the likes of Nitty Scott, Joey Bada$$ & performing at Spike Hill, Fordham University & famed SOBs in New York City, A.B. has always been a lyrical powerhouse in the Underground. Appreciation Day sums up our intro pretty nicely.

“Appreciation Day is my thank you to all of the people who have supported, inspired or encouraged me along this journey of mine. Thank you for contributing & keeping me on track. May this project help to return the favor.
This EP is inspired by a 2 year hiatus, personal problems & a 3AM conversation with friend/rapper Mic Blaque. This is for all the folk who never give up on their dreams.” – A.B.

Special shoutout to Team RTC. #RESPECTTHECOOL #RESPECTTHECRAFT #AEMNYC
