Humanimals x Acid Reign & Gebo [WATCH]

Gajah, Olmeca and BeOND are Los Angeles trio Acid Reign, presenting the Ragz The Bear-directed video for “Humanimals”, the Kenny Segal-produced single from Losaka, their forthcoming collaboration album with Osaka, Japan emcee Gebo. The track also features an appearance from fellow California emcee Ariano. Veterans of Los Angeles’ Project Blowed open-mic workshop, Acid Reign’s first full-length Acid Trip… A Journey To The… dropped in 1997 on cassette, followed by Ready Yet? in 2003 (link). Alpha Pup Records released Time & Change in 2006 (link), and Uncommon Records dropped Diversity (link). After starting Acid Lab Records, they dropped Synergy with Chrono Triggers from France (link).

Acid Reign has shared the stage with KRS-One, Freestyle Fellowship, Kool Keith, Jeru the Damaja, Hieroglyphics and more. Gajah says “Humanimals” was inspired “by the world today as well as Darwin’s ‘survival of the fittest’ concept. We feel that humans are no different then animals in their dominant and predatorial ways. Coincidentally, the words ‘human’ and ‘animal’ flow so well together that they are likely to be one and the same.” Losaka drops March 31st on Acid Lab Records.
